Operalåven is an old barn that has been converted into a concert hall. The barn is located on a small farm from the early 1700s, in the little town Ål in Hallingdal. The name Operalåven translates to “The opera barn”, as performances of classical music is the main purpose of the venue.

Ål is beautifully situated in the Norwegian mountains, half way between Oslo and Bergen. The outdoor performance “Summer opera”, which takes place at the end of June each year, is our most popular event. Tickets to all events are available at www.aal.kulturhus.no.
